About VA Fosters
Our Partners
Virginia Fosters collaborates with several organizations that help make this campaign possible.

VDSS is one of the largest state agencies in the Commonwealth, partnering with 120 local departments of social services - along with faith-based and non-profit organizations - to promote the well-being of children and families statewide. VDSS proudly serves alongside 1,650 (state) and 8,500 (local) human services professionals throughout the Social Services System, who ensure that thousands of Virginia's most vulnerable citizens have access to the best services and benefits available to them.

Our mission is to ensure that those impacted by the foster care system know that they are important, worthy and celebrated. We will do this by celebrating them on the important days in their lives!

Our mission is to serve all of Virginia’s adoptive, foster and kinship families by offering peer support and connecting families with the resources they need to be stable, nurturing, and healthy.

Our mission is to champion public policies that improve the lives of Virginia’s children. We are particularly focused on children whose needs are often overlooked, concentrating our efforts on policies in the areas of early childhood, foster care and adoption, health and mental health, and family economic security.

The Open Table uses a community-based, bottom-up, grassroots model to draw together the relational, intellectual and social capital of communities to transform poverty.

Patty’s Hope provides practical help, hope, and healing for biological mothers of children in foster care. We partner with local organizations and the Christian community to implement a holistic, individualized program with a focus on four areas: Safe Housing, Trauma Recovery, Life Skills, and Healthy Community.
